Dominos are small tiles that can be stacked on end in long lines, creating intricate designs. The fun comes when the first domino is tipped over, which causes all the others to tip and create larger and more complex designs, until they finally all fall. This is the famous “domino effect,” where one action leads to much greater–and sometimes catastrophic–consequences.

In a team setting, tasks are often interconnected and depend on each other for completion. That means that delays from just one member can cause the entire project to slow down or even get stuck. It can also lead to confusion and frustration, and can have a negative impact on the morale of the whole group.

Fortunately, there is an antidote to this domino effect. As shown in the video above, Ivy Lee taught Charles Schwab a technique to deal with these kinds of challenges. She advised him to pick one task that had the most impact and focus on it, concentrating all of his energy until it was completed. Then he would move onto the next task, and so on. Over time, Schwab’s productivity increased as he used this method to knock over many more tasks each day.

As a mutant who fights for mutant rights, Domino has frequently joined forces with hero groups like X-Force. Her mercenary skills and unwavering conviction put her in the crosshairs of high profile opponents like Stryfe, Mister Sinister, and Donald Pierce’s cyborg Reavers. She’s also been a founding member of the Six Pack mercenary team along with Grizzly, Hammer, Anaconda, and Sol.

Domino is a skilled lone wolf mercenary, but she’s also an effective leader of teams. She was the de facto leader of X-Force after Cable left the team. She helped to reform the group alongside Sunspot and Siryn when they infiltrated a research facility under the control of the mutant assassin Gryaznova (Dominique Dubois) and her son Tyler.

Domino rejoined X-Force after rescuing the team’s founder, G. W. Bridge. She later teamed up with the mercenary Six Pack along with Shatterstar and Copycat to liberate mutants who were sequestered by the government in Rumekistan. She was later tasked by Cable to join the staff of Providence island to help free more mutants from government custody.
